The Context:

The Pharmacy blends the characteristics of a dive bar and community hub, however, younger crowds are uncertain about the establishment’s identity. With the rise of remote work/learning, and in the aftermath of Covid-19, younger crowds are still learning how to fit in in the adult world, how to build and maintain community, and what they should order at the bar. The Pharmacy thrives on continuing to create a welcoming atmosphere for people to gather, build, and enjoy the liveliness of the community.

The Insight:

The Challenge:

Expanding on the ideas of community and a familiar space, it seems that younger crowds aren’t sure what to make of the one-of-a-kind, community-driven dive lounge. Unleashing the playful spirit inherent in the name, we can elevate the idea of a casual bar eatery by leaning into the eclectic nature of the name. While competition sits on every street corner, The Pharmacy distinguishes itself through local, live entertainment and whimsical energy while maintaining a secure and reliable experience.
