Pulse Prompt PDX

strategy - graphic design - copy - media plan - brand positioning

The Context:

The PSU School of Business plans to host a conference for creative professionals, aiming to position PSU as a thought leader in technology for the creative field. For the first conference, attendees will learn ways to use AI to enhance their work. Our client needs help developing a brand identity and driving awareness for the first conference. The hands-on, peer-driven nature of this event sets it apart. Our client doesn’t want the branding to feel like any other AI event. It should feel like a Portland AI event, not a Silicon Valley one.

The Insight:

Show that AI is a tool for amplifying human ingenuity.

The Challenge:

Agencies are trying to incorporate AI into their work and are curious about its potential. While some notice its practical applications within marketing and advertising, many are wary of AI, seeing it as a threat to the integrity of their craft. This tension creates a challenge. We need to attract professionals to an event centered on the technology they may fear. Convincing marketing and advertising professionals that AI is an extension of their craft, not a competitor, will be key to winning them over. The goal is to help attendees understand the practical, non-threatening ways AI can complement their roles.
