The Context:

Bproud did have a brand voice; The actions and the content on social media are contrary to the message already being presented by the brand itself. They were straddling the idea that the brand is proud to be “whatever” (teacher, mother, good friend) even though the brand has already set itself up to represent the Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) Community.

The Insight:

When it comes to facing adversity, Bproud wants to remind you to find pride in the differences in one's language, culture, and skin with a reminder to spread kindness once those differences are noticed. Wearing Bproud is not just an affirmation for the wearer but for the world as a whole; it represents an unapologetic pride in oneself and that others should follow suit. (Bdifferent, Byou, Bproud).

The Challenge:

The voice of Bproud should be able to express the values that are already presented throughout Bproud’s actions, visual representation, and clothing. Successful long-term support in the Brand’s movement and social standing would bring repeat customers and encourage others to support the brand, whether socially or monetarily.
